The Six Second Solution Gets Results
What is the Six Second Solution? It’s the power of the first six seconds of your advertising message to move your customer towards a desired response. To harness that power, you need great copywriting that works hard.

While I enjoy serving clients in the Ottawa area because I can work with them face to face, I have worked effectively online for many clients around the world. I can help you no matter where you are. Now let's see what you have to gain.
How the Six Second Solution Benefits You?
In any advertising message, you have those first six seconds of copy to get your customer’s attention. If you don’t get attention in that time, your ad risks dying before it brings life to your campaign and failing to end in a contact or sale.
Telling your customers about your products and services requires great copywriting, whether it comes from word-of-mouth or a global campaign. Every day, consumers are exposed to thousands of messages. The key to standing out from those messages—whether they come from across the backyard fence or from across the ocean—means that your message has to make an impact quickly and effectively and professionally.
Here's How You Can Get the Six Second Solution
With great ad copy. As an advertising copywriter, I can give you an advertising message that not only adheres to strong advertising principles, but I can also give you an advertising message that adheres to strong editing principles. You see, I'm not only an advertising guy, but I'm also an editing guy, setting me apart from other copywriters.
Since 1982, I’ve been writing and editing advertising copy. I write to the AIDA formula:
- Attention: Start with a strong benefit.
- Interest: Set up the problem.
- Desire: Offer the right solution that fills the consumer’s needs.
- Action: Tell your customer how to get what you have to offer.
While rules are made to be broken, the principles of good advertising copywriting can’t be tossed out merely for the sake of creativity or to satisfy management's ego needs. “Welcome to our website” doesn’t cut it.
Write It Right: Spelling Counts!
Ooops! If commas confound you and participles perplex you, then you need to regularly check the Grammar Goofs section of this site for mini-lessons on saying it right--or is that "saying it correctly?" If you have a question on the finer points of grammar, punctuation, style, or syntax, give me a call for a FREE answer.
